Adam Sender manages a major
hedge fund based out of New York City called Exis Capital Management.
According to Bloomberg, hedge funds can be defined as largely unregulated
pools of capital whose managers can buy or sell assets, bet on falling or
rising asset prices, and participate in profits from the money that is
invested. They typically charge fees of 2% of assets and 20% of investment
profits.
Sender has worked in
financial markets for a number of years, dating back to 1989 when he started
trading stock at the University of Michigan. He is a veteran of the
industry, which lends credence to his impressive record in the market.
He is also known for
maintaining an extensive art collection, consisting mainly of modern works.
The 800 piece collection is valued at roughly $100 million.
